Challenges and Goals

When designing audio for any project, our first thought is always, "What's the focus here?"

Like most explainer videos, the VO was the most important part - it had to be the star of the show. The client wanted sound design to make the animation more dynamic and exciting, but they were worried it would detract from the VO and take away from the audience's attention.

Further, they wanted the audio to have a subtle touch rather than sounding like a game, even though the visuals were inspired by a popular game.

Standard Bio is a Norwegian company that uses circular economy processes to create natural fertilizers for sustainable agriculture. They turn wasted agricultural resources like animal manures into valuable soil-enriching fertilizers.

The company's commitment to sustainability motivated us to use more “organic” sounds. We balanced the sound so it wouldn't take away from the VO or the audience's focus, while still providing a lively atmosphere. The end result is a gentle, clean, and inviting universe that helps viewers understand the client's technology.
